In addition to tourist, business, and community information, the Visitors Center invites you to enjoy its museum displays of railroad memorabilia, the Raggedy Ann doll collection and the Louis Klein Collection of antique brooms and brushes in the United States, along with other interesting Arcola relics and keepsakes.
The City maintains an area of green space in the downtown area between Jefferson and Washington streets along Oak Street, highlighting the historic Illinois Central Depot. In the late 1980s, the interior of the Depot was renovated and converted to serve as the Arcola Welcome & Visitors Center and the home of the Arcola Chamber of Commerce. Further renovations were completed in 2006 to make necessary repairs and add handicapped accessibility.
